Kitesurfing in Cape Town - Infos

Like everywhere else Cape Town has undergone a massive growth of the kitesurfing population. No wonder, Cape Town offers supern conditions.

Most of the kiter surf at the Dolphinbeach (about a 3min. drive from the house). There are nearly no windsurfer, the wind blows constantly and slightly sideonshore. The far stretched beach offers space for everybody. Novices are normally a bit further upwind whereas the cracks surf right in front of the parking. The standards are quite high in South Africa, a lot of professionals come here in the european winter for training purposes. There is always a place were the wind is strong enough for kiting, if it´s not blowing in the Table Bay try Langebaan or the Falsebay.

Langebaan is propably the best place if want to learn kitesurfing (shallow and warm water and a lot wind) and it is definetly worth the hour drive.
